Hello,

I am looking to buy a 42 inch Plasma. I really want HDTV (1028x768)
resolution to support PC displays as well as DVD/TV. I like the
reviews of the Panasonic TH-42PHD6UY 42 HDTV Plasma. Well at least a
couple of months back.

But I cannot find anywhere in the UK that is selling it.
Dealtime.co.uk was offering it at £2188. But is is now discontinued.
I also cannot find any mention of this model at the panasonic.uk web
site ?? The only 42 inch Plasma displays described standard
resolution models ?

Anyone recommend what Panasonic HDTV plasmas or alternatives at a
reasonable price (i.e. under £2500)

Thanks

Jules

Hello Jules

The TH-42PHD6BX (Charcoal) is alive and well - we supply lots of them
to Home Theatre customers.

The TH-42PHW6 (Silver) has not been imported into the UK by Panasonic
Consumer (they don't see a market for it!!!) so you wont find mention
of it on the Consumer web site.

The price you have is way too low and ex vat - expect to pay nearer
£3.5k inc vat.

Its also important to ensure you get a BX unit - as these are the
official UK models that have an On Site warranty in addition to the
normal Return to Manufacturer warranty.

If you want more detail and accurate pricing please drop me a note to
***@tmfsolutions.co.uk - I have a PDF brochure showing the HD units.

Best regards

Joe
